The National Examinations Council (NECO) has released the results of the 2025 Senior School Certificate Examination (SSCE) Internal. The announcement was made on Wednesday, September 17, 2025, at the council’s headquarters in Minna, Niger State.

Performance Statistics
A total of 1,367,210 candidates registered for the exam, with 1,358,339 candidates sitting. Out of these:
- 818,492 candidates (60.26%) obtained at least five credits, including Mathematics and English.
- 1,144,496 candidates (84.26%) scored five credits and above, irrespective of Mathematics and English.
By state performance:
- Kano State recorded the highest number of successful candidates with 68,159 (5.02%).
- Lagos State followed with 67,007 (4.93%).
- Oyo State came third with 48,742 candidates.
How to Check NECO 2025 Results Online
- Visit the official NECO portal: https://results.neco.gov.ng.
- Select the exam year as 2025.
- Choose your exam type (SSCE Internal, SSCE External, BECE, NCEE, or Gifted).
- Enter your NECO Result Checking Token and registration number.
- Click on “Check my result” to view your scores.
Note: Candidates must first purchase a result-checking token from the NECO portal or an accredited vendor.
How to Check NECO 2025 Results via SMS
- On your phone, type:

- You will receive your result as a text message.
If no reply is received, resend the SMS after a few minutes and confirm that your exam details are correct.
Important Information
- Tokens can be purchased directly on the NECO website or from accredited vendors.
- NECO is implementing a revised curriculum, reducing examinable subjects to 38 to improve efficiency and shorten the result processing time.
- For technical issues, candidates should contact NECO through its official support channels.
The 2025 release reflects an improved performance nationwide, with more than 60% of candidates achieving the required credits in core subjects.
