The Nigeria Jubilee Fellows Programme (NJFP) has published a new, easy-to-follow guide to help applicants schedule their NJFP 2.0 CBT test and complete the required video submission without difficulty. The updated instructions were released to support candidates who have been experiencing issues with their test date, Safe Exam Browser (SEB), or login token generation.
According to the NJFP team, the goal is to ensure that every applicant can navigate the platform confidently and complete both the CBT and video assessment successfully.

How to Schedule Your NJFP 2.0 CBT
To begin, every applicant must log in to the official portal:
โถ portal.njfp.ng
Once logged in, your dashboard will clearly display the CBT Assessment section. Candidates must select a convenient test date and time. NJFP noted that proper scheduling is important because the system uses timing to activate tokens and open the exam session.
Mandatory Installation of Safe Exam Browser (SEB)
NJFP has made it compulsory for all applicants to use the Safe Exam Browser for both the mock and main examination.
Applicants are advised to download SEB from the approved links:
- Windows users: Safe Exam Browser 3.10.0
- MacBook users: Safe Exam Browser 3.6
Once downloaded, follow the installation steps to complete setup.
Token Activation and Login Issues
The platform will only open at your chosen exam time. If you try accessing the test early, you may see messages like:
- โFailed to generate login tokenโ
- โExam not yet availableโ
- โNo active test session foundโ
NJFP explained that each applicant gets a unique token that becomes active:
- 1 hour before the mock test
- Exactly at the time of the main CBT
Candidates should log in 15 minutes before their exam and refresh the page at the exact scheduled time.
Mock Test Is Compulsory
Every applicant must complete the mock test before taking the main CBT. The mock test button becomes active one hour before the main exam and can only be attempted three times.
This mock exercise prepares candidates for the SEB environment and reduces the chance of errors.
How the Main CBT Works
From the dashboard, candidates will see two test options. To begin:
- Read all exam instructions.
- Click โYes, I agreeโ to continue.
- Select โLaunch Safe Exam Browser.โ
- Click โOpen Safe Exam Browserโ when prompted.
Once SEB launches:
- Complete the verification steps
- Take the required facial capture
- Answer your exam questions
After finishing, click โFinish attemptโ, review your answers, and submit your test. Scores appear instantly.

Video Submission Instructions
Every candidate advancing to the next stage must return to the portal to record a one-minute video answering:
โWhat makes you the ideal NJFP Fellow?โ
To succeed:
- Use a clean and quiet background
- Ensure your camera is clear
- Use natural and confident speech
- Record directly from the portal (no pre-recorded videos)
- Re-record if needed before final submission
Important Technical and Environmental Requirements
Before attempting the CBT:
- Write in a quiet environment
- Use good lighting
- Maintain a stable internet connection (minimum 10Mbps)
- Keep your camera visible at all times
- Do not switch tabs โ SEB automatically blocks tab changes
- Total exam time: 40 minutes (SEB environment allows up to 2 hours)
Final Note
The NJFP urges applicants to follow all instructions carefully to avoid missing their test. If a candidate experiences token failure or technical issues, the programme may open a rescheduling window.
Staying prepared and following the official steps will increase your chances of completing the CBT and moving to the final stage successfully.
