IG Approves New Uniform for Spy Police

The Inspector General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun, has approved a new uniform and kits for the Supernumerary Police, commonly known as Spy Police. This decision is part of an effort to enhance the professionalism and visibility of Spy Police officers across Nigeria. The announcement was made during an unveiling ceremony, where Egbetokun, represented by the Deputy Inspector General of Police, Finance and Administration, Bala Ciroma, emphasized the importance of this new uniform in aligning with the Police Act 2020.

The new uniform was developed in partnership with Synveego Nigeria Limited, tasked with standardizing and redesigning the attire to ensure Spy Police personnel present a professional and well-groomed appearance. This move is also aimed at preventing the misuse of regular police uniforms by creating a distinct and recognizable look for Spy Police officers.
