I’ll Win 2027 Presidential Election – Kwankwaso Claims

Dr. Rabiu Kwankwaso, the national leader of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), has expressed strong confidence in his chances of winning the 2027 presidential election. Kwankwaso, who ran as the NNPP’s presidential candidate in the 2023 election, made this declaration during the inauguration of the party’s secretariat located along IBB Way in Katsina. His visit to Katsina also served as an opportunity to offer condolences to the Yar’adua family following the death of their matriarch, Hajiya Dada.

Kwankwaso emphasized that the NNPP is fully prepared to take over the presidency, along with other key political positions, come 2027. He stressed that the party is on the path to success, having learned from past experiences and built a strong base of support. In his address, Kwankwaso took a direct jab at the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), stating that it is no longer a viable political force. According to him, he and his supporters once aligned with the PDP, but their departure from the party was inevitable due to what he described as a loss of direction within the party. He added that the NNPP now offers a more promising future for the nation.

The former governor of Kano State urged Nigerians, particularly women and youths, to resist being swayed by short-term incentives such as food items or cash during elections. He called on them to remain focused on long-term development goals and not be misled by political gimmicks. Kwankwaso also encouraged party leaders and members to intensify their efforts towards the party’s success. He praised those responsible for renovating the state secretariat, recognizing it as a crucial step in the NNPP’s preparations for the next general elections.

In a humanitarian gesture, Kwankwaso pledged support for a young boy, Abubakar Ibrahim, from the Yammawa area of Katsina State, who is suffering from severe acute malnutrition. His commitment to assisting the boy reflects his dedication to addressing pressing social issues in the country.

Alhaji Armaya’u Abdulkadir, the NNPP’s state chairman, also spoke during the event. He revealed that the party is working diligently to raise awareness about its new logo, which symbolizes a commitment to education for all—a core value of the Kwankwasiyya movement. He stressed the need for grassroots mobilization to educate voters about the new emblem and its significance as the party continues to grow its influence nationwide.

Kwankwaso’s speech and actions at the event reflect his belief in the NNPP’s readiness to compete on the national stage, as well as his confidence in his chances of becoming Nigeria’s next president.
