Israeli Security Cabinet Authorizes War Cabinet to Respond to Iran’s Attack

Following an emergency meeting on Saturday night, the Israeli security cabinet has granted authority to the three-man war cabinet to determine Israel’s response to the recent Iranian attack. The decision comes in the wake of over 200 perceived threats faced by Israel, as reported by the Israel Defense Forces.

The war cabinet, consisting of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Minister of Defense Yoav Gallant, and Benny Gantz, has been tasked with formulating and executing a strategic response to the escalating tensions.

In a related development, Israel’s Home Front Command has rescinded its earlier directive for residents across the country to remain close to shelters. This reversal comes hours after the Israel Defense Forces instructed residents in certain parts of northern Israel to seek refuge in protected areas and wait for at least 10 minutes following the activation of sirens.

The situation remains fluid as Israel weighs its options in response to the Iranian aggression. The authorization of the war cabinet underscores the gravity of the situation and the need for decisive action in the face of heightened tensions in the region.
