The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has issued a reminder to prospective candidates that the deadline for the 2023 Direct Entry (DE) registration is fast approaching. As per the official statement released by JAMB’s spokesperson, Fabian Benjamin, the sales of the Direct Entry e-PIN will close on Saturday, May 26, while the registration process for those who have obtained the e-PIN will conclude on Tuesday, May 30.
The registration process for the 2023 DE commenced in February but was extended to accommodate all interested candidates. The initial closing date was temporarily suspended to incorporate additional safeguards aimed at improving the integrity of the registration exercise.

According to Benjamin, the 2023 DE registration stands out from previous years due to the incorporation of new features intended to address vulnerabilities that had been exploited by certain vested interests. This enhancement has resulted in a significant increase in the number of candidates observed in some JAMB offices.
