JAMB Updates Direct Entry Registration Requirements: Acceptable Statement of Result Expanded to Include 2021

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has announced a significant update regarding the Direct Entry (DE) registration process for the year 2024. In a recent statement released via their official Twitter account, JAMB HQ informed prospective candidates that the acceptable statement of result for DE registration will now include the academic year 2021, expanding the eligibility criteria for applicants.

This decision comes as a response to the evolving educational landscape and aims to accommodate candidates who obtained their statements of result in the 2021 academic year. Previously, the acceptable range spanned from 2022 onwards, but with this adjustment, candidates who completed their studies and obtained their statements of result in 2021 will now be eligible to apply for Direct Entry registration.

According to the announcement, the three-year validity period for the acceptable statement of result will now encompass the academic years 2020/2021, 2021/2022, and 2022/2023. This means that candidates who possess statements of result from any of these academic years will be able to utilize them for their DE registration.

Prospective DE candidates are encouraged to take note of this change and ensure that their documentation aligns with the updated requirements. It is essential to stay informed about any updates or modifications to registration procedures to avoid any complications during the application process.

As always, JAMB remains dedicated to facilitating a fair and transparent admissions process, and this adjustment to the DE registration requirements reflects their ongoing efforts to streamline procedures and enhance accessibility for all candidates.

In conclusion, the expansion of the acceptable statement of result for Direct Entry registration to include the 2021 academic year marks a positive step towards inclusivity and fairness in the admissions process. Candidates preparing to apply for DE registration should familiarize themselves with the updated requirements and proceed with confidence in their eligibility.
