Jigawa Government Raises Monthly Allowance for People Living with Disabilities to N10,000

In a progressive move aimed at enhancing the well-being of Persons Living with Disabilities (PWDs), the Jigawa State Government has announced a substantial increase in their monthly allowance from N7,000 to N10,000. This uplifting decision, revealed by Alhaji Sagir Musa, the Commissioner for Information, Youths, Sports, and Culture, follows the State Executive Council (SEC) meeting held on Thursday.

The approved increment not only involves a noteworthy raise in the monthly stipend but also entails an increase in the number of beneficiaries in each of the 27 local government areas, now expanded from 150 to 200. Alhaji Sagir Musa highlighted that this decision reflects the government’s steadfast commitment to improving the overall welfare of PWDs in the state.
