The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has officially announced the schedule for the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) and Direct Entry (DE) registration. According to the Board, the registration process will be conducted across all JAMB-accredited Computer-Based Testing (CBT) Centres nationwide.

During a recent virtual meeting chaired by Mr. Mufutau Bello, JAMB’s Director of Finance and Accounts, key dates for the exercise were disclosed. The registration period will include an option for candidates to indicate interest in the Mock-UTME, which is scheduled to hold in early April. The main UTME examination will follow later in April and conclude in early May.

For Direct Entry candidates, the sales of application documents will begin shortly after the UTME registration closes and will run for a limited period.

New Mock Trial for Underage Candidates

JAMB also introduced a “Trial-Testing Mock Examination” designed for candidates who will not meet the minimum age of 16 by September 30, 2025. While these candidates are ineligible to write the main UTME, the mock trial provides them with hands-on experience in preparation for future participation.
