The gesture, aimed at encouraging positive societal reintegration, was part of a broader rehabilitation package announced by the state government.
The Secretary to the Kaduna State Government, Abdulkadir Meyere, who represented Governor Uba during the announcement, emphasized the administration’s commitment to the welfare of the released individuals. He revealed plans to rehabilitate and empower them, with opportunities ranging from skill acquisition and business start-ups to direct employment for those who qualify.

Prior to their release, the protesters underwent medical examinations and psycho-social counseling to prepare them for reintegration into society. Religious leaders from both Islamic and Christian communities were also engaged to deliver motivational sermons, urging the individuals to embrace positive values and avoid negative influences.

With promises of further support contingent on their conduct, the Kaduna State Government aims to transform these individuals into productive members of society, thereby turning a challenging chapter into an opportunity for growth and development.
