Kano State Governor, Abba Kabir Yusuf, Appoints 14 Aides and Key Officials

Kano State Governor, Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf, has recently made significant appointments in the state, including the selection of 14 personal aides and the designation of key officials to important positions. These appointments are expected to bring fresh perspectives and expertise to the administration.

Kano State Governor, Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf, has demonstrated his commitment to effective governance by approving the appointment of 14 aides and key officials. Among the notable appointments is Alhaji Sani Abdulkadir Dambo, who has been chosen as the new Executive Chairman of the Kano State Internal Revenue Services (KIRS). Dambo, a seasoned professional with extensive experience, previously served as the Executive Chairman of KIRS and currently holds the position of Senior Manager, Tax Audit at the Federal Inland Revenue Services (FIRS), Abuja. With a background in Accounting and multiple master’s degrees, Dambo brings a wealth of knowledge to his new role.

Another significant appointment is that of Alhaji Isyaku Abdullahi Kubarachi, who has been named the Executive Secretary of the State Emergency Management Agency, Kano (SEMA). Kubarachi’s expertise in emergency management will prove invaluable in ensuring the state is well-prepared to handle any potential crises. Governor Yusuf’s decision to appoint Kubarachi reflects his dedication to the safety and welfare of the people of Kano.

In addition to these pivotal roles, Governor Yusuf has also selected a diverse group of individuals to serve as personal aides. The appointees include Senior Special Assistants (SSAs) such as Dr. Sani Danjuma, Bello Nuhu Bello, Najeeb Bashir Nasidi, Dr. Abdurraman A. Kirare, Safwan Garba, Abdulkadir Balarabe Kankarofi, and Salisu Yahaya Hotoro. Their areas of responsibility range from administration and domestic affairs to special duties, protocol, and social media management. These SSAs will undoubtedly contribute to the smooth functioning of the government and enhance public service delivery.

Additionally, several Special Assistants (SAs) have been appointed to fulfill crucial roles. Salisu Muhammad Kosawa will serve as an SA for social media, while Zulaihat Yusuf Aji has been entrusted with the responsibility of SA for broadcast media. Rasheedat Usman will assume the role of SA for the secretariat, ensuring efficient coordination and communication within the government.

The Governor has also designated Personal Assistants (PAs) who will play vital support roles. Ahmad Aminu Yusuf, Ahmad Muhammad Gandu, Isa Muhammad Giginyu, and Hassan Kabir have been appointed as PAs for domestic affairs, videography, photography, and social media, respectively. Their expertise will contribute to the efficient functioning of the Governor’s office and effective communication with the public.

These appointments, effective immediately, mark Governor Yusuf’s commitment to a transparent and efficient administration.
