Katsina State Sets Up Committee to Investigate Fire Outbreak at Governor’s Office

Katsina State Governor, Dikko Radda, has established a committee to investigate the recent fire outbreak at the Governor’s Office, known as Muhammadu Buhari House. The fire caused significant damage to the Mini Chamber adjacent to the Governor’s office, prompting immediate action from state and federal firefighters. Their quick response was crucial in preventing the fire from spreading further, although the Mini Chamber sustained substantial damage.

In response to the incident, Governor Radda’s administration is taking proactive measures to understand the cause of the fire and to prevent future occurrences. A committee has been formed to thoroughly investigate the circumstances surrounding the fire, identify any potential lapses that may have contributed to the incident, and provide recommendations for improving safety measures.

The committee comprises high-ranking state officials, including the Head of Civil Service, and Commissioners for Works, Housing and Transport, Budget and Planning, Justice, Internal Security and Home Affairs, Information and Culture. Additionally, the State Commander of the Federal Fire Service will play a key role in the investigation, with the Governor’s Office providing secretarial support.
