Kebbi State’s First Lady, Hajiya Zainab Nasare, has called upon Muslims to embrace the spirit of unity and reflection as they celebrate Eid-el Kabir. In a statement, she emphasized the significance of Hajj, highlighting how it brings together people from diverse backgrounds in harmony, a lesson that should resonate within families and communities.
“Muslims should imbibe the practical aspect of the Hajj of assembling faithful from all over the world to gather in one place in tranquillity; they should reflect this scenario at home by upholding the virtues of unity, brotherhood, cohesion, and sincerity of purpose towards the attainment of a greater nation,” Hajiya Nasare said.

She further reaffirmed the commitment of her husband, Governor Nasir Idris, to continue the urban and rural transformation efforts aimed at improving the standard of living across Kebbi State. These initiatives, she noted, are geared towards uplifting all communities, ensuring equitable development and prosperity.
Eid-el Kabir, also known as the Feast of Sacrifice, is celebrated by Muslims worldwide to commemorate the willingness of Prophet Ibrahim (Abraham) to sacrifice his son as an act of obedience to God’s command. It is a time for prayer, reflection, and sharing with the less fortunate.
As Muslims mark this important occasion, the call for unity and solidarity resonates strongly, echoing the themes of sacrifice and compassion that define the spirit of Eid-el Kabir.
