The Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB) has released a new update for all 2025 recruitment applicants. According to the latest announcement, the next stage of the selection process will be made public soon, and candidates are strongly advised to begin preparing the required documents immediately.

This guide provides a clear breakdown of what you must get ready to avoid delays or disqualification once screening begins.

Official Reminder to All Applicants

The Ministry of Interior has confirmed that only applicants who completed the CBT exam on 19 November 2025 will proceed to the next stage. While waiting for the final shortlist, candidates should arrange the following documents in both original and photocopy.

1. National Identification Number (NIN)
Ensure your NIN slip or card is available and readable. If the print is faded or damaged, visit the NIMC portal to reprint a clear copy.

2. All Application and Supporting Documents
Keep every document you used during the application ready. This includes the application acknowledgment slip, CBT exam confirmation slip, and any uploaded credentials.

3. Birth Certificate or Declaration of Age
You must present a valid birth certificate from the National Population Commission (NPC) or a court-issued declaration of age.

4. Academic and Professional Certificates
Prepare your WAEC, NECO, NABTEB, ND, HND, or Degree certificates.
If you applied with higher qualifications, also include your NYSC discharge certificate or exemption letter.

5. Medical Fitness Certificate
Obtain a recent medical report from a recognized government hospital. The document should clearly state that you are medically fit for paramilitary duties.

6. Referee or Guarantor Form
Download the official CDCFIB referee form and fill it correctly. Some candidates may be required to submit it during documentation.

The screening timetable, venue list, and final shortlist will be published soon on official CDCFIB and Ministry of Interior channels. Candidates should avoid relying on unverified websites and fake social media pages.
