In a recent development, the Federal Government of Nigeria has firmly denied the existence of an open portal for the Renewed Hope Job Creation program, emphasizing that claims suggesting otherwise are false. Dr. Akindele Egbuwalo, the National Programme Manager of N-Power, Renewed Hope Job Creation, has urged Nigerians to disregard the rumors circulating on social media platforms.
The denial comes in response to earlier reports suggesting that the Federal Government intends to commence payment of the 9-month backlog to N-Power beneficiaries in November 2023. The government is expected to provide detailed information about the program soon, according to a statement released by Jamaluddeen Kabir, the National Communications Manager of NSIPA.
Dr. Egbuwalo emphasized that the information regarding the portal’s opening for N-Power did not originate from the N-Power, Renewed Hope Job Creation office. He stressed that the N-Power, Renewed Hope Job Creation Management categorically denies this false information, which appears to be intended to mislead the public.
Furthermore, the N-Power, Renewed Hope Job Creation Management unequivocally disavows this misleading news, which seems designed to deceive the public. Instead, they will properly inform the public through the official portal of the scheme when enrollment of new beneficiaries will commence.
It is worth noting that the Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation, Dr. Betta Edu, had previously mentioned plans to revamp the N-Power scheme under the leadership of the Bola Tinubu-led federal government.
