
The Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire, and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB) has announced that the shortlist for the 2025 recruitment exercise will soon be released. Although the official date is yet to be confirmed, the board assured applicants that the names of successful candidates will be published after the ongoing review of applications and verification of documents.

How Applicants Will Be Informed
Successful candidates will receive notifications via email and text message. Applicants are also advised to keep checking the CDCFIB recruitment portal for updates on their status.
Steps to Check Your Shortlist Status
- Visit the CDCFIB recruitment portal using a smartphone or computer.
- Click on the service link for the position applied (NIS or NSCDC).
- Enter your application details correctly.
- The portal will show whether you have been shortlisted or not.
Required Documents for Screening
Shortlisted candidates will need to present the following during the screening exercise:
- Educational certificates (SSCE, NCE, OND, HND, or higher degrees)
- Birth certificate or age declaration
- Recent passport photograph
- Valid identification document (National ID, voter’s card, driver’s license, or international passport)

After the shortlist is released, candidates will be invited for:
- Physical screening to test fitness and endurance
- Verification of original documents
- Aptitude tests to assess knowledge and reasoning skills
