Ederson from Manchester City secured the men’s goalkeeper of the year, while Mary Earps of England and Manchester United claimed the women’s award. Sarina Wiegman, the England national team boss, received the women’s coach of the year for guiding the Lionesses to the FIFA World Cup final.

A noteworthy moment came as Brazil’s men’s team won the fair play award for donning an all-black shirt in support of Vinicius, who faced racist abuse while playing for Real Madrid. Additionally, the Puskas award for the best goal was awarded to Guilherme Madruga of Botafogo for his spectacular overhead kick.
