During a recent news conference, Manchester United’s manager, Erik ten Hag, acknowledged that he had spoken with Antony. However, ten Hag emphasized that it is challenging to gauge Antony’s mental state based solely on their conversation. Two more allegations followed, with Rayssa de Freitas and Ingrid Lana both claiming Antony assaulted them in 2022—a claim Antony vehemently denies. Lana, a 33-year-old banker, described an incident where she claimed to have hit her head when pushed against a wall at Antony’s house in Manchester in October of the previous year.

Throughout this tumultuous period, Antony has consistently cooperated with authorities in both Brazil and the UK, and Manchester United has issued a strong statement condemning all acts of violence and abuse.
