NAFDAC has begun an investigation into Pastor Jeremiah Omoto Fufeyin of Christ Mercy Land Delivery Ministries regarding the sale of his miracle water and soap products. The investigation was initiated after the National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control received numerous petitions from concerned citizens about the unverified claims being made by the ministry. These products, which include various miracle waters and soaps, are being promoted as possessing healing abilities, including curing barrenness and performing other miraculous feats.
In a statement issued by NAFDAC’s Director-General, Prof. Moji Adeyeye, the public was advised to stop purchasing these products due to their unproven claims. She stressed that the products being sold by the ministry, including “Miracle & Healing Water” and “The Miracle Water from The Pool of Bethsaida,” have not been registered or approved by NAFDAC. Despite claims from the church that the products were registered with the agency, investigations confirmed otherwise.

In August 2024, NAFDAC’s Delta State coordinator visited the ministry and purchased one of the miracle water products for N3,000. However, when ministry officials were confronted about their involvement, they denied responsibility for producing or selling the products, even though there was evidence in the form of a receipt. Moreover, they delayed further cooperation with the investigation by avoiding meetings with NAFDAC officials.

Further inquiries revealed that the church had entered into an agreement with a Delta-based water company, Globod Table Water, to manufacture the products without notifying NAFDAC. This partnership violated regulatory guidelines, leading to the sealing of the water company’s factory for producing the miracle products under a false NAFDAC registration number.
Prof. Adeyeye emphasized the importance of public safety, urging individuals to refrain from purchasing or using unregistered products that claim to offer miraculous healing powers. She reassured the public that NAFDAC remains committed to enforcing strict regulatory standards and protecting consumers from potentially harmful or deceptive products.
As the investigation continues, NAFDAC warns that all products sold by Christ Mercy Land Delivery Ministries have not been vetted or approved for public use. This case highlights the need for vigilance among consumers and regulatory agencies to ensure that only safe, verified products are made available in the market.
