NAHCON announces Hajj fare rates for 2023 pilgrimage to Saudi Arabia

The National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) has announced the Hajj fare rates for the 2023 pilgrimage to Saudi Arabia. NAHCON Chairman, Zikrullah Hassan, revealed that this year’s fare is not uniform and varies with states. The announcement was made on Friday in Abuja while addressing newsmen.

Intending pilgrims from Maiduguri and Yola will pay N2,890,000, while intending pilgrims from other northern states will have to pay N2,919,000. Intending pilgrims from Cross River will pay the least amount of N2,943,000, and those from the South-East and South-South states, excluding Cross River, will pay N2,968,000.

Intending pilgrims from Ekiti and Ondo states will pay N2,888,000 each, and those from Lagos, Ogun, and Oyo states will pay N2,993,000 each. The deadline for completion of Hajj fare is April 24, and no additional dates will be entertained.

The announcement by NAHCON will help intending pilgrims plan and budget for their pilgrimage to Saudi Arabia. It is expected that the Hajj pilgrimage will be conducted with strict adherence to COVID-19 protocols to ensure the safety of all pilgrims.
