NAHCON Commences Online Application for 2023 Hajj National Medical Team

The National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) has announced the commencement of the online application portal for the 2023 Hajj National Medical Team (NMT). This opportunity is open to medical doctors, pharmacists, nurses, and environment health officers (EHO) who are eligible and qualified to apply.

Interested candidates are to access the application portal via NAHCON’s website by clicking “Resources” and then “NMT Application Portal” from the main menu or by clicking the provided link. The application portal will be open from March 31, 2023, at 12:00 midnight and will close on April 7, 2023, at 11:59 pm.

Applicants are to note that the information provided will determine their eligibility or qualifications for membership into the NMT for the 2023 Hajj operation. Any omission, misstatement, or falsification may lead to rejection of the application or removal of the name from the eligibility list.

To apply for the position, candidates must be between 25-60 years of age and must be in active service at the time of application. They must also not have served in the last three years’ Hajj exercise and should be ready to work for 21 days and remain in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for up to 40 days before returning to Nigeria.

Successful applicants will not be disengaged for any reason whatsoever before the completion of their allotted 21 days of duty. They are expected to be of good conduct and conform to the code of ethics of their respective professions and all other rules and regulations that may be promulgated by NAHCON.

Every application must be accompanied by an attestation by a guarantor who must be a credible personality such as a career civil servant not below the rank of GL 12, Traditional ruler, Magistrate or Local Government Chairman. The following documents should also be attached to the application: Guarantor’s form, basic professional certificate, NYSC certificate (where applicable), current annual professional practicing license, profile picture (taken against a white background), applicants’ declaration, and employer’s clearance letter.

It is essential to note that filling the form does not guarantee eligibility for this position, and the application is free. NAHCON management does not require or charge any fee directly or through an agent or agency for this application.
