Nasarawa Celebrates Kano Governor’s Supreme Court Victory

Residents of Nasarawa State came together in joyous celebration in the Keana Local Government Area to mark the recent Supreme Court victory of Kano State Governor, Abba Yusuf. The gathering, organized by the Kwankwasiyya Movement, expressed gratitude for the judiciary’s independence and underscored the importance of democratic principles.

Usman Dikko, the convener of the Kwankwasiyya Movement in Keana LG, commended President Bola Tinubu for refraining from interference, emphasizing that this contributed to strengthening democracy. Dikko also appealed to the Supreme Court to deliver a fair judgment in the Nasarawa State governorship election dispute, echoing the sentiment for peace and unity in the state.

“The Kwankwasiyya Movement, initiated to uplift the less privileged, has seen success in Kano with numerous empowerment programs,” Dikko stated during the celebration.

Muhammed Shuaibu, the National Organising Secretary of the Kwankwasiyya Movement, urged Governor Abba Yusuf to continue prioritizing the welfare of the people. Shuaibu acknowledged the governor’s positive initiatives, including empowerment and job creation, since assuming office.
