NECO Releases 2024 SSCE External Results – Check Yours Now

The National Examinations Council (NECO) has officially released the results for the 2024 Senior School Certificate Examination (SSCE) External. A total of 86,067 candidates registered for the examination, which was conducted between November 14 and December 14, 2024. The overall pass rate for the examination stands at 67.35%, with 57,114 candidates achieving five credits and above, including English Language and Mathematics.

Performance Overview

The 2024 NECO SSCE External results revealed that 62,929 candidates (75.62%) obtained credit and above in English Language, while 77,988 candidates (93.93%) secured credit and above in Mathematics. Additionally, 70,711 candidates (83.39%) obtained five credits and above, regardless of whether they passed English Language and Mathematics.

Decrease in Malpractice Cases

The results also showed a significant reduction in examination malpractice cases, with only 6,160 candidates booked for various forms of malpractice. This represents a 27.7% decrease compared to the previous year. NECO has also blacklisted 14 examination centers due to involvement in whole-center malpractice.
