Nigeria Customs Warns Applicants About False Recruitment Update

Nigerian Customs Service recruitment news today

Nigerian Customs Service recruitment 2025 update

Applicants who recently applied for the Nigeria Customs Service recruitment are advised to disregard a fake shortlist and test notification currently circulating on social media.

The Nigeria Customs Service made this clear in a statement released on Sunday, where it dismissed the viral message as false and misleading. The statement, signed by the National Public Relations Officer, Assistant Comptroller Abdullahi Maiwada, confirmed that no shortlist has been released and no computer-based test (CBT) has been scheduled.

According to Maiwada, the fraudulent message contains several signs of fake information, including poor formatting, an unofficial electronic signature, and incorrect details that do not align with the official recruitment timeline.

He urged all applicants and the general public to be cautious and avoid falling for scams, especially those shared through unofficial platforms like WhatsApp groups and unverified websites.

Important Points for Applicants to Note:

The Customs Service thanked the public for their cooperation and vigilance, adding that its recruitment process remains transparent and fair. Job seekers were reminded that no one should pay money or rely on unofficial sources for updates.

If you applied for the Nigeria Customs recruitment, ignore any list or test invite unless it comes directly from official sources. Always confirm through the official website: https://recruitment.customs.gov.ng/.

Stay informed. Stay safe.
