Nigeria Unveils Plans for Invictus Centre to Support Wounded Soldiers

The The Defence Headquarters of Nigeria has revealed a groundbreaking initiative aimed at providing comprehensive recovery and rehabilitation for injured soldiers and veterans of the Armed Forces. The announcement came during a reception held in honor of Prince Harry and Meghan, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, who are visiting Nigeria on a private invitation extended by the Chief of defence.

The proposed Invictus Centre, set to be a state-of-the-art facility, will be equipped with world-class amenities tailored to aid the recovery process of wounded soldiers, offering specialized treatments for post-traumatic stress and other combat-related traumas. Prince Harry expressed deep emotional resonance with Nigeria becoming the first African nation to join the Invictus community and lauded the government’s commitment to supporting servicemen and women on their path to healing.
