In a significant update, the Nigeria Police Force (NPF) has shortlisted an impressive 416,270 applicants for the upcoming recruitment screening, set to commence on January 8, 2023. This announcement follows a recent meeting of the Police Recruitment Board at the corporate headquarters of the Police Service Commission in Jabi, Abuja.

The next stage of the recruitment process will involve a combination of physical and credentials screening, conducted in the applicants’ respective states of origin. Successful candidates can anticipate receiving their invitation letters before December 23, 2023. During this phase, candidates are required to present original copies of their certificates, along with other credentials and letters of attestation from their Local Government Chairmen or traditional rulers.

Subsequent stages will include Computer-Based Testing (CBT) and medical examinations, with specific dates set to be announced in due course. The Police Recruitment Board emphasizes the importance of maintaining a transparent and merit-based selection process, reiterating that the entire recruitment exercise is free of any charges.

This development marks a crucial step in strengthening the Nigeria Police Force, with a diverse and substantial pool of candidates ready to contribute to the nation’s security. As the screening process unfolds on January 8, 2023, it represents a pivotal moment in shaping the future of law enforcement in Nigeria.
