Sheriff William Wood, presiding over the case, emphasized the severity of Okwuoha’s actions, stating, “Your presence in the United Kingdom is not conducive to the public good,” and recommended his deportation upon completion of the 40-month sentence.

The witness, Keith Mackle, a retired director of student services, testified that serious concerns arose in the autumn of 2021 when staff members received threatening emails. One message warned of a “massive bomb explosion at the University of Dundee,” claiming contact with Isis terrorists and predicting a tragedy surpassing 9/11.

The court found Okwuoha guilty of threatening to murder university staff and committing terrorist acts between December 2021 and June 2022. The charges also included threats to behead police officers and detonate bombs planted at Dundee University.

The severity of Okwuoha’s threats has raised significant concerns, leading to the recommendation of his deportation. The court’s decision underscores the importance of addressing threats to public safety and maintaining the security of educational institutions.
