The National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA) has officially opened applications for the GITEX Nigeria 2025 Regional Startup Program — a bold initiative to discover and support Nigeria’s most innovative tech-driven startups from all six geopolitical zones.
The nationwide tech roadshow is a lead-up to GITEX Nigeria 2025, the country’s largest innovation and technology exhibition scheduled to take place in Abuja from September 1–4, 2025.

What is the GITEX Nigeria Startup Roadshow About?
NITDA’s GITEX Nigeria Regional Roadshow is designed to identify and support early to growth-stage startups working on scalable solutions across sectors such as:
- HealthTech
- AgriTech
- FinTech
- Artificial Intelligence (AI)
- EdTech
- ClimateTech
- CreativeTech
Through this initiative, NITDA aims to promote homegrown innovators who are tackling real-world challenges with cutting-edge technology.
Where Will the Roadshows Take Place?
From June to August 2025, the roadshow will tour the following states, each representing a geopolitical zone:
- Lagos – South West
- Enugu – South East
- Akwa Ibom – South South
- Abuja (FCT) – North Central
- Gombe – North East
- Kano – North West
Selected startups from each region will qualify for national recognition and a chance to pitch their innovation at the main GITEX event in Abuja.
Who Can Apply?
Startups that meet the following requirements are eligible:
- Must be in the early or growth stage
- Must be registered with CAC or in the process of registering
- Must operate within one of the targeted tech sectors
- Must be ready to pitch in person at a zonal roadshow
What Do Selected Startups Stand to Gain?

- Free exhibition space at GITEX Nigeria 2025 in Abuja
- Opportunity to pitch to a panel of investors, policymakers, and tech ecosystem leaders
