The National Population Commission (NPC) has announced the training centers for the upcoming 2023 Population and Housing Census. The training centers cover all 36 states of the country, and the exercise will be conducted from March 15 to March 21, 2023, across the 774 LGAs of the Federation.
Enumerators and supervisors ad hoc staff will undergo the training exercise, which is crucial to the success of the census. The NPC has assured participants that text messages will be sent to indicate their venue and date of training. Additionally, the names of those shortlisted will be pasted according to classes at different LGAs where the training will take place.
The NPC’s announcement comes after a series of delays and postponements due to various reasons, including the COVID-19 pandemic and lack of funding. However, the NPC has expressed its commitment to conducting a successful census, and the training exercise is a critical component of that process.
