The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has recently unveiled its approved programme of activities for the Passing-Out ceremony of the 2022 Batch ‘B’ Stream I Corps members. The event, scheduled for Thursday, May 25, 2023, marks an important milestone in the journey of these dedicated graduates.
The Director (PRS) of NYSC, A. W. Ikaka on behalf of the DG NYSC, has expressed delight in approving the Passing-Out of the corps members. The programme aims to ensure a smooth transition for the graduates as they conclude their service year and embark on the next phase of their lives.

The approved programme of activities for the Passing-Out ceremony of the 2022 Batch ‘B’ Stream I Corps members is as follows:
- Thursday, 11th – Monday 15th May, 2023:
- Release of Passing-Out Corps members by Employers
- Job Awareness and Creation: Sensitization of Corps members on job opportunities after service at the Local Government level, using relevant officers/NYSC/NDE officers.
- Wednesday, 17th May, 2023:
- Registration/Clearing of Corps members by Local Government Inspectors
- Signing of final clearance by Zonal Inspectors
- Administration of Questionnaire (Form4B) on 30% of the passing-out corps members.
- Monday, 22nd – Tuesday, 23rd May, 2023:
- Signing of final clearance by Zonal Inspectors
- Administration of Questionnaire (Form4B) on 30% of the passing-out corps members.
- Wednesday, 24th May, 2023:
- Signing of final clearance by Zonal Inspectors.
- Thursday, 25th May, 2023:
- Distribution of Certificates of National Service to Deserving Corps members at the Local Government Level.

The NYSC has also mentioned that officers from the Planning, Research, and Statistics Department will be present throughout the programme to monitor its progress and ensure its successful execution.
The Passing-Out ceremony, scheduled for Thursday, May 25, 2023, holds great significance for the corps members as they reach the culmination of their service year. It is an occasion that symbolizes their achievements and marks the transition to the next phase of their lives.
During this period, the corps members will be released by their employers, receive job awareness and creation sensitization, undergo registration and clearing processes, and have final clearances signed by Zonal Inspectors. A questionnaire (Form4B) will also be administered to gather feedback from a portion of the passing-out corps members regarding their experiences during the service year.
Finally, on the day of the Passing-Out ceremony, deserving corps members will be presented with their Certificates of National Service, recognizing their successful completion of the NYSC program. The presence of officers from the Planning, Research, and Statistics Department will ensure the smooth and efficient conduct of the entire programme.
