In a recent address to the 2024 Batch A Stream 1 corps members at the NYSC Ogun State Permanent Orientation Camp, Sagamu, the Director-General of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), Brigadier General Yusha’u Ahmed, has emphasized the importance of keeping camp activities private. Corps members have been cautioned against sharing moments from the three-week exercise on social media, with the DG stressing that captured memories should be for personal consumption.
General Ahmed further urged corps members to prioritize their safety, advising against unnecessary journeys, especially unauthorized ones. Emphasizing the significance of utilizing their service year effectively, he stated, “No single hour should go unproductive,” encouraging them to align their activities with their goals.

Additionally, the Director-General encouraged corps members to participate in the NYSC Skills Acquisition and Entrepreneurship Development Programme, highlighting collaborations with financial institutions to provide interest-free loans and grants. The State Coordinator, Olayinka Nasamu, reported positive behavior and adaptability among participants during the orientation course.
As a gesture of support, the NYSC DG donated four cows and cash gifts to various categories of corps members. The scheme aims to empower graduates through a year-long program, including a three-week orientation course.
