Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen has etched his name deeper into the annals of the country’s football history, achieving a significant milestone as the joint-second all-time top scorer for the Super Eagles.

Osimhen reached this remarkable feat on Thursday night during Nigeria’s crucial 1-1 draw against Benin Republic in an Africa Cup of Nations qualifier. His 23rd international goal places him alongside Nigerian football legend Segun Odegbami on the scoring chart.

Currently playing for Galatasaray, the 25-year-old forward trails only the late Rashidi Yekini, who holds the record with an impressive 37 goals.
