The Lagos State Police Command has confirmed the identification of the police officer involved in the fatal shooting of Toheeb Eniafe amid chaos at a petrol station queue. SP Benjamin Hundeyin, the Police Public Relations Officer, disclosed that the officer implicated in the tragic incident serves at Special Protection Unit (SPU) Base 17, Lion Building, Lagos.
Eniafe lost his life during an altercation at a Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited petrol station located in Obalende, Ikoyi, Lagos State, on Wednesday. According to reports, Eniafe and others were resisting security agents’ attempts to bypass the fuel queue when the shooting occurred.

Investigations into the circumstances surrounding the shooting are ongoing, with the Lagos State Police Command assuring cooperation with the deceased’s family to ensure justice prevails.
