President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is set to visit Kebbi State in August to commission a newly constructed Modern Secretariat and Mega Schools across the four Emirates of Gwandu, Argungu, Yauri, and Zuru. This visit highlights a significant step in the state’s development, showcasing Governor Nasir Idris’s commitment to improving the welfare of Kebbi State’s residents.
Ahmed Idris, the Chief Press Secretary to the Kebbi State Governor, emphasized the importance of these projects during his visit to the Daily Trust office in Kaduna. He highlighted the administration’s efforts in providing free fertilizer for the current farming season, reflecting the state’s dedication to good governance and progress. The Mega Schools in the four Emirates aim to enhance the educational infrastructure, providing better learning environments for students.

President Tinubu’s visit will also include laying the foundation for a new road connecting Sokoto-Kebbi to Badagry, underscoring the state’s focus on improving transportation and connectivity. Additionally, efforts are underway to complete the road from Koko Bese to Zuru Dabai town, a project that has faced delays for years. The state government, in collaboration with the Minister of Works, is determined to finish the road and seek reimbursement from the federal government.
Governor Nasir Idris’s administration is optimistic that by the end of his tenure, Kebbi State will achieve substantial infrastructural development, potentially rivaling Abuja. This vision includes not only the Modern Secretariat and Mega Schools but also enhanced transportation networks and other critical infrastructure projects.
