Expressing deep sympathy for the affected community, Senator Barau Jibrin, representing Senate President Senator Godswill Akpabio, assured that the National Assembly would collaborate with the Presidency to thoroughly investigate the circumstances surrounding the accidental bombing. The goal is to prevent a recurrence and ensure justice for the innocent civilians impacted.
Governor Uba Sani, appreciating the Senate’s empathy, called on the National Assembly to actively support the Federal Government’s investigation into the air strike. He also urged federal legislators to consider the creation of state police, emphasizing its potential to enhance overall security management in the country.
