Seyi Tinubu, son of Nigeria’s President Bola Tinubu, has led a humanitarian effort to support the people of Borno State affected by the recent devastating flood in Maiduguri. Accompanied by his brother, friends, and associates, Seyi made a generous donation worth over 500 million naira to alleviate the suffering of the flood victims.
During the visit, Seyi addressed Borno State Governor, Babagana Zulum, and other dignitaries at the state government house, emphasizing the importance of collective effort and solidarity in times of hardship. He praised the resilience of the people of Borno State, who have faced numerous challenges in recent years.

“We are here today, not just as representatives of our family but as members of a collective effort of young Nigerians to bring hope and relief to those who need it most,” Seyi said.
The donation includes:
- Food items: cartons of spaghetti, tomato paste, groundnut oil, salt, bags of flour, rice, maize, Maggie, and thousands of loaves of bread
- Non-food essentials: 10,000 pieces of mosquito nets, blankets, mattresses, kettles, wrappers, buckets, mats, sanitary pads, and wash kits
- Medical supplies: critical prescriptions for almost 50,000 children and adults, including anti-malarials, anti-hypertensives, antiparasitics, anti-diabetics, analgesics, and antibiotics

Seyi assured that the intervention would continue until Borno State, especially Maiduguri, recovers from the devastating flood. His commitment to supporting young people and the community was evident in his words: “The Nigerian youth stand shoulder to shoulder with the people of Borno. We are in this together, and our thoughts and prayers are with you all.”
This visit comes after President Bola Tinubu’s recent trip to Borno State, demonstrating the family’s dedication to supporting those affected by the flood.
Transport and logistics expert, Mr. Chidi Ajaere, and renowned aviator, Isaac Balami, who accompanied Seyi on the visit, praised his philanthropic efforts, describing him as a young man with empathy and love for his country.
