In anticipation of the upcoming Eid-el-Kabir festivities, Sokoto State Governor Ahmed Aliyu Sokoto has announced a special bonus for state workers and pensioners. The announcement, made through a press release by the governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Abubakar Bawa, details a payment of 30,000 naira for all state and local government workers and 20,000 naira for pensioners and those receiving allowances.
The bonuses, which will start being disbursed on Thursday, June 13, are intended to help civil servants and pensioners celebrate Eid-el-Kabir with greater ease amidst rising living costs. Governor Sokoto, currently on pilgrimage, emphasized the importance of this gesture to support workers financially during the festive season.
