Stolen N55m Vehicle in Abuja Found in Delta State After Intense Search

In a stunning turn of events, a stolen luxury vehicle worth N55 million has been recovered in Delta State, four days after it was reported missing in Abuja. The Mercedes Benz GLB 250, a 2021 model, was allegedly taken by a suspect named Henry during a test drive arranged by a car dealer.

The incident unfolded when Manga, the car dealer, entrusted his friend, who is also involved in the car trade, to take the valuable Benz for a test drive. Little did they know that this simple arrangement would lead to a harrowing experience. Henry, the supposed test driver who claimed to reside in Gwarinpa, disappeared with the vehicle while Manga’s friend temporarily left to withdraw money from a point of sale operator.

The theft prompted an intensive search operation launched by the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command, which declared Henry as a wanted individual. Days of suspense came to an end when the stolen SUV was discovered in Asaba, Delta State. Despite the recovery of the vehicle, the suspected thief remains at large, causing continued concern among authorities.

The breakthrough in locating the stolen car was announced by an auto dealer through their official Twitter handle. Alongside the announcement, they shared a photo of the alleged thief and a video showcasing the recovered Mercedes-Benz GLB SUV. The relief expressed in their tweet was palpable, exclaiming, “Alhamdulillah, it’s OFFICIAL! The stolen car (MERCEDES BENZ GLB-250, 2021 MODEL) was found today, July 4, 2023, in Niger Delta (Asaba)!”
