Types of Scholarships Available

  1. Research Scholarships
    These scholarships support postgraduate researchers holding at least a master’s degree who wish to carry out doctoral or postdoctoral research at a Swiss public university, federal institute of technology, or other recognized research institutions. Applicants must be endorsed by a professor at a Swiss institution.
  2. PhD Scholarships
    Ideal for highly motivated postgraduates aiming to pursue a PhD in Switzerland. Candidates must hold a master’s degree (or equivalent) before July 31, 2025 (or June 30, 2025, for ETH Zurich), and must have been born after December 31, 1989.
  3. Postdoctoral Scholarships
    These are designed for researchers who have completed their PhD after December 31, 2021, but before July 31, 2025 (or June 30, 2025, for ETH Zurich). Applicants must present a well-structured research proposal and a letter of support from a Swiss academic host.
  4. Art Scholarships
    Open to students from select countries, these scholarships support those who want to pursue a first master’s degree in the arts at Swiss conservatories or universities of the arts. Applicants must hold a bachelor’s degree and be born after December 31, 1989.
