A terrible accident occurred at a Qur’anic school in Kebbi State where seven children lost their lives in a burrow pit collapse. The children, who were students at the school, were gathering materials when the pit collapsed on them.
The school’s owner, Malam Dan-Umma, said the children were gathering materials nearby when the accident happened. Despite efforts to save them, seven children died on the spot, while another was hurt and taken to the hospital.

Malam Dan-Umma felt very sad and prayed for the children who passed away. The bodies of the children were taken to a local hospital before being returned to their families for burial.
Zayyanu Sanka, a native of the area where the accident occurred, who serves as a Special Adviser to the Kebbi State Governor, Nasir Idris, expressed sadness about the accident and promised to take steps to prevent similar tragedies in the future. He suggested considering a ban on risky excavation activities as one of the measures to be taken.

The community is mourning the loss of these children and hopes that measures will be taken to prevent such accidents from happening again.
