TVET Begins Sending Emails to Trainees: What You Need to Know

The Federal Ministry of Education (FME), through its Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) unit, has officially begun sending out important email notifications to trainees and applicants. The emails instruct recipients to upload their Proof of Prior Learning (PPL) documents in order to move forward in the application process.

What the Email Says

The messages are being delivered with the subject line:
“TVET Application: Action Required.”

Each email includes:

  • The applicant’s registered skill (e.g., Network System Installation).
  • A unique four-digit Application ID.
  • A personalized upload link directing the applicant to the official TVET portal.

The body of the message thanks candidates for applying and emphasizes that uploading documents is a mandatory step in continuing their application.

Documents You Need to Upload

Applicants are expected to upload at least one of the following:

  • Certificate
  • Diploma
  • Transcript

Only PDF, JPG, or PNG formats are accepted, with a maximum file size of 10MB.

How to Upload Your Proof of Learning

  1. Click the unique link provided in your email.
  2. Select your document from your device (certificate, diploma, or transcript).
  3. Click on “Upload Document.”
  4. If you see the message “Upload Successful”, your document has been submitted correctly.

Why This Matters

The ministry has clarified that this email notification is not a shortlist. Instead, it is a verification stage to confirm applicants’ learning history before final selections are made. Without completing this step, candidates risk disqualification from the programme.

What Applicants Should Do Next

  • Check your inbox and spam folder for the TVET email.
  • Upload your proof of learning documents immediately using the provided link.
  • Avoid phishing scams by ensuring the message is from TVET and the upload link directs to the official portal: https://tvet.education.gov.ng.
  • Contact TVET support through official channels if you encounter any technical issues.
