The Youth Economic Intervention and De-Radicalisation Programme (YEIDEP) has provided fresh clarification regarding its ongoing grant activities, confirming that Batch A disbursement has been postponed while Batch B registration remains open.

Batch A Disbursement Postponed
According to a recent statement published by BusinessDay on October 24, 2025, YEIDEP’s Coordinator-General, Kennedy Iyere, announced a postponement of the earlier-scheduled October 20 disbursement for Batch A beneficiaries.
Iyere explained that the delay was necessary to ensure a transparent, accountable, and accurate process. He added that the management is finalizing technical and verification procedures to prevent irregularities during fund release.
He assured applicants that a new disbursement date will be announced soon through official YEIDEP communication channels, including its YouTube, Facebook, and official website yeidep.org.
Fraud Alert: Beware of Fake Messages
The programme also issued a strong warning against online fraudsters spreading fake news that disbursement has begun.
Iyere cautioned applicants not to fall for false claims or pay anyone offering to “fast-track” their payment, stressing that all YEIDEP benefits are free of charge.
“We advise everyone to ignore criminal elements who may want to extort money from the public by peddling fake news. Every benefit or gain relating to YEIDEP is offered free of charge,” he said.
Batch B Registration Now Open
Despite the delay affecting Batch A, YEIDEP confirmed that its portal reopened on October 27, 2025, for Batch B registration.
The management reaffirmed its commitment to ensuring that every registered applicant receives the empowerment and support they are entitled to once verification is complete.
Applicants are advised to:
- Verify that their NIN and BVN details are correct.
- Use only the official YEIDEP portal for application and updates.
- Follow official social-media pages for announcements on orientation, verification, and disbursement schedules.
