The fellowship, which forms part of the Mastercard Foundation Ed-Tech Fellowship Programme, aims to boost innovation and transformative solutions in the education technology sector in Nigeria.

Building on a Successful Partnership

The collaboration between CcHub and the Mastercard Foundation was first announced in February 2023. Under this partnership, a substantial US$15 million ed-tech accelerator initiative was launched, targeting both Kenya and Nigeria. The initiative is designed to foster the growth of promising ed-tech startups, providing them with the necessary support and resources to make a meaningful impact on education across the African continent.

Expanding Support for Ed-Tech Startups

The inaugural fellowship programme in 2023 supported 12 Nigerian startups and an additional 12 Kenyan companies. With a vision for continued growth, the program aims to extend its support to 36 ed-tech companies over the next two years. The second edition of the Nigerian fellowship is now accepting applications, with a focus on identifying and nurturing innovative solutions that have the potential to revolutionize learning from preschool to the workplace.
