The eligibility criteria require applicants to be Nigerian professionals currently working in public sector roles, aged 25 to 45, with a minimum of seven years of combined private and public sector experience. A bachelor’s degree with a minimum of second-class upper qualification is also essential.
Financial support is comprehensive, covering tuition, living expenses, and a stipend for a summer project. But it doesn’t end there—extensive coaching and mentoring help scholars navigate their Oxford experience, while robust career development support guides them towards impactful roles aligned with their areas of interest.

The 2024/2025 AIG Scholarship schedule is as follows:
- July 31, 2023: Admissions open for the 2024 intake
- September 15, 2023: Application deadline
- September 23, 2023: Invitation for Computer-Based Tests
- October 5-12, 2023: Essay Submissions
- October 25-30, 2023: Video Interviews
- December 2023: Final Selections
- January 5, 2024: Deadline for MPP Applications
- May 2024: Pre-departure Orientation
