About the Role
As a Field Credit Officer, your main responsibility will be to identify and onboard credible local businesses, guide them in accessing Moniepoint’s credit services, and ensure efficient loan monitoring and repayment. You’ll be working closely with entrepreneurs and SMEs to support their financial growth while keeping the loan portfolio profitable and healthy.
This is a contract role and requires you to be physically present and active in the Dutsinma area.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Locate and register viable businesses in your assigned area on the Moniepoint platform.
- Educate business owners on account usage to improve their chances of qualifying for loans.
- Analyze loan applications thoroughly, including assessing financial health and daily business operations.
- Visit business locations to carry out creditworthiness checks, inventory tracking, and evaluate financial turnover.
- Maintain a performing loan portfolio with minimal defaults.
- Ensure proper use of credit by monitoring active loan accounts and detecting risks early.
- Provide timely feedback and recommendations to your supervisor based on field data.
- Carry out additional credit-related duties as directed.
Candidate Requirements
- OND or higher in a business-related field (e.g., Accounting, Finance, Marketing, or Management).
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a loan sales or credit role within a financial organization.
- Solid knowledge of credit analysis and risk assessment strategies.
- Bonus if you’re familiar with financial performance metrics and reports.
- Must reside in Dutsinma, Katsina State.
