On Monday, April 3, 2023, the Governor of Kebbi State, H.E Sen. Abubakar Atiku Bagudu, met with Boss Mustapha, the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF) and Chairman of the Presidential Transition Council (PTC), and Dr. Folasade Yemi-Esan, the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation (HCSF) in Abuja, Nigeria. The meeting was held as part of the ongoing preparations for the transition of power to the newly elected president.

Governor Bagudu serves as the representative of the President-elect in the PTC, which is responsible for overseeing the smooth transition of power from the current administration to the incoming one. The PTC is comprised of various stakeholders from across the country and is tasked with ensuring that the new government is able to hit the ground running when it assumes power.

The meeting was an opportunity for Governor Bagudu to brief the PTC on the progress that has been made in Kebbi State in recent years and to share his thoughts on the challenges facing the country. The Governor, who is widely regarded as a competent and experienced administrator, has been praised for his efforts in transforming Kebbi State into a model for sustainable development and good governance.
