
The Federal University Birnin Kebbi (FUBK) has officially released the approved cut-off marks for all academic programmes for the 2025/2026 admission session. The announcement, signed by the Admissions Officer, Ibrahim Muhammad Kuna, outlines the minimum scores required under three categories: Merit, Educationally Less Developed States (ELDS), and Catchment areas.
According to the document from the Office of the Registrar, Medicine and Surgery tops the list with the highest merit cut-off at 240, followed by Nursing/Nursing Science at 220, and Anatomy, Computer Science, Microbiology, and Physiology at 200 each. These figures reflect the competitive nature of these programmes and the high standards maintained by the institution.

On the other hand, several education and science-related courses such as Education & Chemistry, Education & Geography, and Statistics have the minimum cut-off mark of 150 across all categories, providing broader access for candidates from different regions and academic backgrounds.

The cut-off marks also reflect inclusivity through adjustments for ELDS and Catchment areas. For instance, Medicine & Surgery has a cut-off of 230 for ELDS and 220 for Catchment applicants, allowing equitable access to candidates from disadvantaged states.

The full list includes 36 programmes spanning sciences, arts, education, and management. Prospective students are encouraged to review their UTME scores in comparison to the listed cut-offs and prepare for the post-UTME screening accordingly.
This development marks a crucial step in the 2025/2026 admission process and signals the university’s readiness to welcome a new cohort of students across its diverse programmes.
