FFK Calls for Peter Obi to be Declared a ‘Master Terrorist’ Over Leaked Audio Recording

Femi Fani kayode and Peter Obi

Former Minister of Aviation in Nigeria, Femi Fani-Kayode (FFK), has called on security agencies to declare Peter Obi, the former Governor of Anambra State, a “master terrorist” and a “security risk” after a conversation between Obi and Bishop David Oyedepo was leaked to the public.

In the leaked audio recording, Bishop Oyedepo, the founder of Living Faith Church, was heard expressing his disappointment with Peter Obi for not making a donation to his church during a church program. Obi, who is a devout Catholic, responded by explaining that he does not believe in giving donations publicly and that he usually supports the church quietly.

Kenneth Okonkwo, who is the media aide to Peter Obi, confirmed the authenticity of the audio recording, which led to FFK’s call for Obi to be declared a “master terrorist” and a “security risk”. FFK also accused Obi of being unfit to lead a multi-religious, multi-ethnic, and multi-cultural state, and of being a hater of non-Christians.

FFK went on to suggest that if Obi had won the election, he would have plunged Nigeria into a religious war within a few months. He also praised God for loving Nigeria and preventing such an outcome.

The statement by FFK has generated mixed reactions from Nigerians, with some people criticizing him for making baseless accusations and others supporting his call for Obi to be investigated. Some people have also expressed concern that FFK’s statement could incite religious tension and further divide the country along religious lines.

In a country that is already grappling with insecurity, ethnic and religious tensions, and economic challenges, it is important for leaders to be careful with their words and actions. Accusations of terrorism and hate speech can only fuel further animosity and division, which is not what Nigeria needs at this time.

It is important for leaders to exercise caution and promote unity and peace, rather than making baseless accusations that could further divide the country.
