The Federal Government of Nigeria has announced Thursday, May 1, 2025, as a public holiday to commemorate this year’s Workers’ Day celebration. The announcement was made by the Minister of Interior, Dr. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, on behalf of the government.

In a statement issued by the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Interior, Dr. Magdalene Ajani, the Minister emphasized the importance of peace in driving the nation’s industrialization and economic growth.
