FG Empowers 100,000 Women With Financial Skills Through New EmpowerHer Training

Abuja, Nigeria — August 11, 2025 — The Federal Ministry of Women Affairs, in collaboration with Kudimata Nigeria Limited, has unveiled the EmpowerHer: Financial Literacy Training program aimed at training 100,000 women across Nigeria in financial and digital skills.

Minister of Women Affairs, Imaan Sulaiman-Ibrahim, announced the initiative, describing it as a strategic move to strengthen women’s economic participation and provide them with tools for sustainable business growth.

“We are committed to giving women the skills, knowledge, and resources they need to manage money effectively, start profitable businesses, and scale them successfully,” she said.

Programme Highlights

Participants in the EmpowerHer training will benefit from:

• Financial & Digital Literacy — Practical lessons in managing finances and leveraging technology for business.
• Global Certifications — Recognised credentials to enhance employability and credibility.
• Empowerment Opportunities — Access to funding, networks, and business support.
• Profiling (SHAPE) — Personal and business profiling for targeted growth strategies.
• Financial Community (FINCOM) — A peer-to-peer learning and mentorship network for women entrepreneurs.

The training will combine classroom-style teaching with hands-on mentorship, ensuring participants not only learn but also apply their skills in real-world business environments.
